We are grateful to Fred Meyer for sponsoring our annual Pancake Breakfast by generously donating $5,000 in support of mammograms for low income uninsured women.
SWCHC is grateful to the Oregon International Airshow for a grant of $2250 supporting our services. We were honored to attend a presentation ceremony along with many other wonderful local organizations.
Following the implementation of Affordable Care Act (ACA) there will be a large segment of the population that remains uninsured including “working poor” who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but too little to sustain insurance payments, and individuals ineligible due to citizenship status. According to a report by Oregon Health Authority published September 2014, Oregon’s population of uninsured numbers approximately 201,000 individuals.
